Saturday night I went to a Chuck Palahniuk book signing. He read a short story called "Guts" from an upcoming collection of short stories he was working on. It was so graphic and such an intense experience that some woman actually passed out. He told us that at every stop on his tour so far someone had fainted.

The reading was interupted by members of the Cacophony Society dressed as santa, handing out gifts and chanting "Santa needs a beer" and "Fuck Chuck!" It was mostly in good fun.
